Hierarchy of Social Compliance Programs: A Conceptual Model
Abstract
A conceptual model that serves as a representation of the evolution of social compliance programs of fashion brand companies was introduced. The model includes five levels: 1) code of conduct and supplier auditing checklist, 2) building a relationship with the supplier/factory management, 3) capacity building, and 4) self-directed continuing improvement.
