In the first issue of Sterkiana, editor Aurele La Rocque contemplated the resurrection of a project to create a continental checklist of mollusca and outlined an arrangement for preparing prelimary state or areal lists. Subsequent issues of Sterkiana featured checklists for states and provinces, which are collected here, alongside La Rocque's original proposal.
