In 2025, the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center, along with the Department of Neuroscience, began work on an NIH-funded initiative known as PIE CHART: Policies, Infrastructure, and Education to CHAmpion Rigor and Transparency. This unique partnership involves librarians working directly with neuroscientists to design and introduce innovations in education, policy, and infrastructure to support the development of a culture that encourages transparency and rigor in research, including enhanced support for research data management and sharing. This poster will present a general overview of the project, currently at the beginning of its first year, with a particular focus on current and planned innovations related to research data, including the modernization of institutional data policies, the introduction of new technologies and library services to support data management and sharing, and the development of a rich suite of educational resources—including new workshops, coding bootcamps, hackathons, speaker series, modules and for-credit courses—targeting audiences from students to experienced researchers, to enhance skills related to research reproducibility, open science, and data management, sharing, and reuse.
