Water is Life
Description
Water holds a special meaning for many in Alaska Native villages. In Unalakleet, it is a source of life — providing fish, berries, and plants that sustain families, serving as a pathway for travel, and connecting people to the land, to each other, and to tradition. This book serves as a community record for the families of Unalakleet, preserving intergenerational stories about water and honoring the knowledge passed down through time.
