Abstract
So begins the document entitled “The Internet Gopher Protocol: A Distributed Document Search and Retrieval Protocol.” Ouch! What is this all about? A bureaucratic mammal that scurries around on the Internet picking up documents? Well… Yeah… Kinda… Hmmm. Let’s break it down. First, a protocol, in computer terms, is simply a standard language which allows computers to communicate with each other.
