MAC Changes Membership Year

Abstract
For the past couple of years, MAC Council and several committees have discussed the issues of changing MAC’s membership year from June 1 – May 31 to a calendar year, i.e. January – December. The reasons behind such move include matching the membership period to MAC’s fiscal year, easing accounting, tax, and other financial responsibilities. In addition, a calendar membership year would smooth transactions with MAC’s institutional members and the various subscription services handling MAC journal accounts.
