Abstract

“When I first worked here, I’d open the mail and burst into tears,” admitted Judith Glaubman, the Archivist at Political Research Associates in Cambridge [MA]. Most of us, had we been in her place, would probably have had the same reaction, for the mail at PRA consists almost entirely of publications and material by and about hundreds of right‑wing hate groups. As a consequence, this is no ordinary, traditional archives or library collection, but a super‑specialized special collection of mostly printed materials, all related to the political right wing in America.
