Abstract

During the Society of American Archivists meeting in Washington, D.C., representatives from the MAC Council and the Steering Committee of the Mid‑Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) met over lunch to discuss better communication and options for cooperation between them. The main item on the agenda was a proposal made by MARAC in 1993, and accepted by MAC, to hold a joint conference (further details of this joint conference proposal will be found elsewhere in the newsletter). But MAC President Mark Greene and MARAC Steering Committee Chair Fynette Eaton asked their respective boards to consider other issues, as well.
