Abstract

This is the first time I have been asked to address an audience of archivists. Usually I am before groups of museum people, and because I am a lawyer we invariably talk about such practical subjects as title, theft, copyright, and loan agreements. But today I am delighted to be before archivists because I have something special to ask of you, and after I explain what it is I hope you will be interested in helping.
