Abstract
There have been a number of recent developments on the appointment of the Archivist of the United States. As this issue was going to press, we were told that an announcement from the White House of a nomination for the post was imminent. In early June, Donn Neal of the SAA, Samuel Gammon of the AHA and Page Putnam Miller of the National Coordinating Committee met with Susan Phillips of the White House personnel office to discuss potential nominees for the position.
