Following a Fortuitous Path from Student to Budding Archivist
- Adam Zimmerli
Abstract
At the time that I am writing this, I am preparing to go to Cologne, Germany, as a volunteer archivist. While I am there, I will likely be sorting through scattered records of the recently collapsed Historisches Archiv and helping to identify which collections can be saved and which are too damaged or disjointed. This opportunity to help out as a qualified professional is the culmination of years of training, but it is far from where I started.
