NARA Internship Teaches More than Electronic Records Management
- Bethany Panozzo (University of Michigan School of Information)
Abstract
This past summer I interned at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in College Park, Maryland. As a part of the Electronic Records Management Team within the Office of Modern Records, I had the opportunity to participate in the creation of guidance for federal agencies. This guidance, in the form of tip sheets and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), provides instruction on how agencies should handle their electronic records. The summer was an incredibly valuable experience for me, as it allowed me to expand my knowledge of electronic records, project management, and records management within the federal government.
