Abstract
I am honored to be a recipient of the Archie Motley Memorial Scholarship for Minority Students. And I am fascinated by Archie Motley as I discover more about him and his history. His desire to document the undocumented in our society is one that I share and hope to accomplish professionally as an archivist. I have deep respect for his active documentation of the larger world through developing collections of African Americans, women's organizations, and labor and social welfare groups.
