Abstract

So far in this series we've explored the nature of sound recordings and moving images, the reasons and motivations for digitizing them, and how analog recordings become digital. Now, let's look at the three basic steps involved in actually producing a digital audiovisual product: capture, edit, and encode and deliver. To be sure, these steps apply to any digital project. But we'll present them here in the context of sound recordings and moving images.
