"MAC in Bloom," Bloomed

Abstract
MAC's second (and for the moment, last) stop on its tour of cities named Bloomington found the group in central Illinois for the "MAC in Bloom" meeting. This year's spring meeting was actually the first MAC annual meeting, now that our move to a fall symposium has made the spring event the one traditional meeting of the year. To inaugurate this change, our LAC hosts in BloomingtonNormal, along with the Program and Education committee members, assembled some fantastic tours, workshops, sessions, and social events-things that have been and will remain the hallmark of the traditional MAC meeting format. And they did it all in some very stylish and elegant surroundings. Many visitors probably wondered if they were still in the Midwest when they pulled into the parking lot at the Chateau Hotel and Conference Center. With the hotel's European flair, the 232 conference attendees were treated to a bit of an overseas trip on the cheap.
