Abstract

MAC is soliciting applications for the 2000 MAC Scholarship for Minority Students in Archival Administration. Awards of $500 will be given to two students from underrepresented ethnic groups who are pursuing graduate education in archival administration. The scholarships are designed to provide financial assistance to these students and to encourage ethnic diversification of the MAC membership and of the profession in general. An eligible applicant must be a student of African, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, or Pacific Islander descent, currently enrolled in or accepted into a graduate program in archival administration. The program must offer at least three courses in archival administration and be among those listed in the SAA Directory of Archival Education. The applicant must have a gradepoint average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
