Abstract

An attempt to reduce traffic on the Listserv was made with a change that makes the “reply to” setting send email solely to the person posting the question and not to the entire list. This change engendered great debate about the wisdom of such a policy since it might lead to a Listserv that consisted solely of unanswered questions. The change went into effect just a few weeks ago but does not seem to have significantly reduced Listserv traffic.
