Funding in Black: A MAC Film Noir?

Abstract
The script is intended to be presented as a film noir. Each of the dark, moody characters will speak lines in a normal fashion, but each will also have an inner film persona (alter ego) whose voice-over will be heard only by the audience. The following is a piece of fiction; any resemblance to persons, living or dead (though it can be hard to tell the difference with some archivists) is purely coincidental.
