Can We Still Afford Chicago?

Abstract
At its fall meeting in Cleveland, MAC Council voted to hold the spring 2002 meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This will be the first time the spring meeting will be held outside of Chicago. One reason for looking at host cities other than Chicago is the burden of meeting planning that continually falls on the Chicago Local Arrangements Committee members. Does anyone know an archivist in the Chicago area who hasn’t served on a LAC at some time? Council felt that these dedicated souls needed a break.
