Resolution
Abstract
WHEREAS, the legal right of the American people to the ownership of all records prepared by or for any public official of the Federal Government in the course of carrying out the duties of the offices to which he or she has been elected or approved is in dispute, BE IT RESOLVED, that the MIDWEST ARCHIVES CONFERENCE supports the principle of public ownership of the official records of elected or appointed public officials.
