MAC Seeks Minority Scholarship Applicants for 2002
- Midwest Archives Conference (Midwest Archives Conference)
Abstract
MAC is soliciting applications for the 2002 MAC Scholarship for Minority Students in Archival Administration. Awards of $750 will be given to two students from underrepresented ethnic groups who are pursuing graduate education in archival administration. The scholarships are designed to provide financial assistance to these students and to encourage ethnic diversification of the MAC membership and of the profession generally. An eligible applicant must be a student of African, Asian, Latino, American Indian, or Pacific Islander descent, currently enrolled in or accepted into a graduate program in archival administration. The program must offer at least three courses in archival administration. If the program is not listed in the SAA Directory of Archival Education (), the applicant must provide proof of the three-course standard by submitting copies of course descriptions from the institution’s current departmental catalog. The applicant must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
