THE LONE ARRANGER
- Erik Nordberg
Abstract
Working right to the deadline this quarter, too distracted and disgruntled with my patrons to think positively and constructively, I wondered, once again, “How did I ever get myself in this predicament?” I could be doing fieldwork for an archival consulting firm, earning the big bucks scheduling bank records for destruction. Or I could be part of the Big Archives Machine, converting legacy printed finding aids into EAD-compatible data systems. Or I could even just be digitizing church records for LDS. But no, I gotta be The Lone Arranger, Jack of All Trades, Mr. “It’s Good to Be Da King.”
