Abstract

Mother Nature is both limitless and relentless; sometimes the forces of nature create unpleasant events or, even more, bring deadly results. Disasters are an all too common fact of library and archival life. Many cultures have lost valuable and painstakingly acquired collections to the ravages of disasters.
