It was June 1997, when the Lone Arranger (a.k.a. Erik Nordberg) first put pen to paper with his very first column in MAC Newsletter. He wrote: The Lone Arranger faces many challenges, but enjoys many benefits of the solitary life on the range. I hope to share tales of our lives in the coming months. I’m . . . already planning columns on stretching limited staff to better benefit, trolling for equipment and supply dollars, PR for the weak of heart, and my favorite, schmoozing the donor. Trust me, it could get a little dicey as we go.
