Midwest Archives Conference Council Meeting - Minutes; Thursday, March 21, 1974

Abstract

All council members except Andrea Hinding attended the meeting. Mary Ritzenthaler, chairwoman of the Constitution-Bylaws Committee, announced the members of the committee: Maxine Clapp, University of Minnesota; Philip P. Mason, Wayne State University and Donald Woods, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Since the committee was still reviewing the constitution and bylaws, recommendations for amendments would not be made at this time. However, Mary stated that the committee expected to draft an amendment designating the Sprinq meeting as the business meetinq with elections, and possibly others that would define the discretionary powers of Council and the role of a straw poll. The Constitution-Bylaws Committee would report to Council before presenting the amendment(s) to the membership at the Fall meeting.
