President's Letter

Abstract
On behalf of the Council of the Midwest Archives Conference, I want to thank our program committee, panelists and speakers, our hosts at the Newberry Library, and all those in attendance who made the conference's Spring meetinq a smashinq success. It was heartening to see the general sentiment of the membership is that we acted wisely and well by conducting our Spring business meeting over three days rather than two as in the past, and that the general membership is still very much in favor of our meeting twice a year.
