Archivists and Economics

Abstract
Because of the "energy crisis" archivists in various institutions may well be as ked to reduce their respective work weeks and accept a commensurate cut in salary. Although such an action would presumably be seen as a temporary expedient, we contend that it would be a bad precedent.
