Microfilm Equipment and Techniques
- Tom Wilstead (Illinois State Historical Society)
Abstract
The afternoon session of the Midwest Archives Conference on Microfilm Equipment and Techniques began with a discussion of the problems of deciding upon a common standard of magnification. Robert Swift, Zone Sales Manager of the Bell and Howell Company talked about this from the point of view of a large corporation trying to serve both private industry as well as the archival profession. He also showed some of the microfilm readers to the audience and talked about their capabilities. There was also a discussion of retrieval systems as well as making printouts from various machines.
