Meet Sarah Lebovitz, Wayne State University
Abstract
In the fall of 2018, I started my current position at Wayne State University as the archivist for Service Employees International Union (SEIU). The Walter P. Reuther Library, Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs, is unique in that it maintains collections for multiple labor unions, each with a dedicated archivist. I use the full set of tools at my disposal, including my wonderful colleagues as both curation and reference teams for my specific union. A particular reference request I often get is for photos of specific people at different stages in their work with SEIU, which prompted a small project utilizing a free application to sort through material.
