Abstract
Years ago, as a beginning archivist, I served as a local government records archivist with the State Archives (part of the Ohio Historical Society). The work involved visits to many a courthouse attic and city hall basement, working to identify, organize, and preserve the important archival records while also creating records schedules and discarding obsolete records.
