OER and Beyond was started by Samantha Peter and Kristina Clement in 2019 and became the official blog for the Journal of Open Educational Resources for Higher Education (JOERHE) in 2021. The OER & Beyond Blog has encouraged our peers to share their work, offer recommended practices, and raise awareness of the important work being done in the open community within higher education.

Since its inception the blog has shared over 70 articles, from nearly 60 individual authors, with 10 editorial team members over the past 6 years. It has been a joy and privilege to be a space where our community to come together and share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences. We encourage previous and prospective authors to pursue publishing opportunities with JOERHE going forward.
