A Retrospective Overview of Clothing and Textiles Research Journal Using A Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of the Clothing and Textiles Research Journal (CTRJ), the flagship journal of the International Textile and Apparel Association, to evaluate its scholarly impact over 43 years (1982–January 2025). Using Scopus data for 1,029 articles, the analysis examined publication and citation trends, influential authors, institutions, countries, and thematic clusters. Findings underscore CTRJ’s evolving role in shaping textile and clothing scholarship and provide insights for future editorial strategies and global research collaboration.
