Abstract

As the apparel industry continues to develop, more and more software solutions are being integrated for managing data, communicating, designing, developing patterns, creating virtual prototypes, and more. This requires university programs to continuously incorporate more software into degree programs.  Smaller programs may not have enough faculty or resources to create new courses to house the new software. This study explains a creative curriculum strategy to incorporate a Product Line Management system into an apparel program using existing courses and aligning the integration with industry teams and processes. Experiential learning theory and simulation-based learning strategies were used in the development of the project.
