Abstract

Hands of Power is a testimony and manifestation of advocacy against human trafficking. Designed to be more than just fashion, it serves as a voice for the voiceless, embodying narratives of exploitation and resilience. Through meticulous attention to detail, from the choice of fabric to the placement of symbols, the garment encapsulates the harrowing realities faced by trafficking victims. Its silhouette and closures reflect the constraints imposed on survivors, while the symbolic motifs, such as handprints and a white hand emblem, convey messages of hope and defiance. The design process involved extensive research, collaboration, and innovative techniques to ensure the garment's cohesive unity and impactful visual storytelling. Hands of Power is not only a creative expression but also a powerful tool for raising awareness and initiating meaningful conversations in the fight against human trafficking.
