Abstract

Virtual reality has emerged as an influential educational tool, offering immersive experiences conducive to embodied learning across diverse classroom settings (Johnson-Glenburg, 2018). Prior to this research, a study was conducted by the same group of researchers on the application of virtual reality in the context of Fashion Draping within the fashion design curriculum. The findings revealed that incorporating virtual reality for sketching facilitated meaningful adjustments to students’ original design plans, indicating its potential to enrich the design process. Therefore, the researchers extended the investigation into the application of virtual reality within the Fashion Industry Technique course, aiming to foster students’ creativity and address associated challenges. The study delineates the instructional design and design process for fashion design courses, enhancing learning and fostering creativity through the adoption of VR technology.
