Abstract

This proposed study investigates how a Sri Lankan apparel manufacturer, Label by Linea Aqua, integrates adaptive apparel production into its supply chain to address the needs of people with disabilities (PWDs). Using theoretical frameworks like global supply chain management and the social model of disability, the study aims to examine the firm's strategies, supply chain challenges, and innovative solutions. Label's efforts to standardize apparel fit through diverse body scanning data and its open-access approach to sharing findings with global brands exemplify its commitment to inclusivity. The research will offer insights and recommendations for manufacturers seeking to incorporate adaptive apparel production, advancing the academic discourse on inclusive manufacturing practices.
