Development of Fashion Accessory by Recycling Leftover and Waste Resources - Collaboration between a start-up program and Mokpo's ‘Zero Waste’ project -

Abstract

tart-up programin Mokpo National University hasbeen collaborating with the support of Mokpo City's Zero Waste Project,focusing on recycling marine resources and developing upcycled marine culturalproducts. The project purpose is the development of ocean image cultural products by recycling the remaining and waste resources.

Accessorieshave developed by using bones left after eating cuttlefish. Cuttlefish bone was recycled through wash,cut, dye and coating.Scarf-Necklace is designed a scarf-style necklace by connecting the leftover fabricpieces with dyed small cuttlefish bone.

Local 'Zero Waste' project and industry-academiccooperation in university research have become examples of successful cases. It is expected to revitalize the local economy aslocal governments can produce and sell them as local promotional culturalproducts.
