Abstract

This research analyzed the popularity of visual textures in digital fashion design on social media using a quantitative method and the aesthetic perception model of visual textures. The study found that Light, Hard, Flat, and Cold textures were the most popular due to their uniqueness and futuristic characteristics, while Soft, Rough, Dark, Thin, and Warm textures were less frequently featured. The research also examined correlations among different texture attributes and provided insights into the relationships between these characteristics. The results revealed a shift in preference towards quirky and technically advanced clothing styles featuring unconventional and expressive textures. This study contributes to academia and the fashion industry by developing a visual assessment method for analyzing virtual textures and shedding light on the evolving preferences of users and influencers alike. However, the research must be further assessed and discussed via constant observation and analysis to align with the ever-changing fashion trends.
