Sustaining traditional clothing styles and cultural heritage: A multiple case analysis approach
Abstract
Thisstudy addresses the imperative of preserving traditional Chinese clothingstyles and textile techniques, particularly among younger generations. Focusingon the innovative intersection of traditional elements and modern fashion, theresearch explores successful strategies employed by Chinese brands. Caseanalyses were conducted. The findings reveal three strategic approaches:contemporizing traditional styles, modernizing cultural heritage, andleveraging digital technologies for immersive education. In essence, thecreative infusion of traditional elements into modern design proves pivotal forsustaining cultural heritage in the dynamic landscape of the fashion industry.
