The words used as indicators of recommendation were quantified. The results of this exploratory study indicated that dress style recommendation is different for each body shape. A few commonly accepted style combinations for all body shapes, yet the preferences may contain more variants other than the body shapes. Hourglass is more likely to be the ideal body shape and indicator for young as the fashion industry, internet influences, and the manufacture used dress form. All five body shapes have different recommended style combinations, which indicate that body shapes are an essential element in style selection. The preference may vary based on an individual's opinion. Based on the interview analysis, stylists' style recommendations are not only based on the body shapes but also the height, facial shape, torso length, and individual preferences. It was emphasized among the interviewees that defining waistline is one of the first steps to selecting styles. Future research may explore correlation between ethnicity and culture to identify body shape and personal style preferences.
