Design Competition

This dress is from a line called "A Faerie Wedding." My main source of inspiration was nature. This bridesmaid's dress represents summer. The qualities of summer are represented in the dress through colors and choice of embellishments. I was also inspired by evening gowns of the 1910's and 20's, which were often seen embellished with handmade flowers. Various books on fairies, such as those by Cicely Mary Barker, offered ideas as to the wardrobe of fairies.
