Evening Bloom

Abstract
This special occasion garment was inspired by a historic dress from the 1940's. The goal was to design a dress that would create a feeling of the past but still be very wearable in the 21st century. The focal point of the green and black taffeta and chiffon dress is a flanged style sleeve with transparent inset. It has a three-layer, full circle skirt and was developed using flat pattern techniques.
