A Braided Approach to the Development of Textile Print Designs for NICU Mothers’ Kangaroo Care Garments

Abstract

The design challenge of this research project was to create aseries of textile prints to be tested and implemented into the kangaroo caregarment. Furthermore, this research aimed to contribute to a growing body ofdesign research with the approach of raising awareness about communityexperiences and to expand the body of work utilizing the braided approach modelto further integrate this framework into design scholarship.
