In fashion, artificial intelligence (AI) technology is expected to provide sustainable solutions to increase the productivity of fashion products and decrease unnecessary energy consumption, such as environmental problems caused by inventory handling and overproduction. Fashion system design is a complex and creative domain. Therefore, this study investigated the practical application of AI in fashion design to enable designers to focus on creative work, improve their work, and use AI in creative designs related to complex systems. First, creations of generative adversarial networks and human design were compared. Second, complex system elements involved in AI design creation were defined. Finally, an AI-human collaborative design-generated model in a complex system was established.
