Creating Community Through Dialogue

Authors: , , ,

Abstract

The need for Sorority and Fraternity Community leaders to be able to communicate across differences and the ability to create a welcoming climate that values and appreciates Diversity has been identified as a necessary competency to serve effectively. Executive officers from all 4 governing councils, Collegiate Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Multicultural Greek Council are encouraged to complete a half-semester course to explore diversity within the context of the Iowa State University campus and our sorority and fraternity community. In this session, we will explore the importance of student leaders developing these competencies through this course to better serve their community.
