Abstract

The Free Business Attire Pop-Up Shop is a semesterly event that provides business attire to students at no cost. It started in 2017 after two Directors of Multicultural Student Success realized how many students chose not to attend important professional experiences due to a lack of business attire. Over the past five years, this grassroots movement has expanded to include the original semesterly pop-up, a physical location open during the fall and spring semesters, and a student organization of volunteers to help keep everything running smoothly. Join us at our session to learn more about how we have successfully maintained this project to serve thousands of students, and leave feeling empowered with the tools you need to build your own vision from the ground up.
