Centering Youth Voice in Building Organizational Capacity

Abstract
Iowa 4-H staff and volunteers do not always reflect the population demographics of our communities and of our youth. It is critical that all staff, professionals, and educators demonstrate skill: in partnering with youth from all racial and ethnic backgrounds; and in creating learning environment that supports youth voice in decision making. Teen Influencer and Equity and Inclusion is demonstrated as an example that uses youth voice and brings young people to collaboratively problem solve, identify priorities, and formulate action plans.
