Abstract

Luis F. Rico-Gutierrez became dean of the Iowa State University College of Design in July 2009. He previously served on the architecture faculty at Carnegie Mellon University where he held different leadership positions, including associate head of the School of Architecture, associate dean of the College of Fine Arts and chair of the steering committee for the Studio for Creative Inquiry. He is co-founder of Carnegie Mellon’s Remaking Cities Institute and served as its first director.
