Cereal Rye and Soybean Relay Intercropping Trials: 2024 and 2025

Abstract
Relay intercropping is an intensive cropping system that produces three crops over the course of two years. The relay intercropping system, although more intensive, is designed to enhance soil health, reduce nutrient losses, and increase productivity and profitability. The objectives of this study are to identify and establish agronomic best management practices recommendations for relay intercropping systems to achieve soil health, nutrient reduction, productivity, and profitability goals.
