Transgenic Soybean Resistance Technology for Managing Soybean Cyst Nematode Update
- Gregory L. Tylka (Iowa State University)
Abstract
The Tylka research program at Iowa State is working at the MIRF with an industry partner to evaluate and refine the use of a new transgenic soybean resistance technology for managing the soybean cyst nematode. This research hopefully will lead to more profitable production of soybeans in SCN-infested fields throughout Iowa and will bolster the sustainability of such soybean production by broadening the scope of resistance mechanisms available to Iowa soybean farmers to combat this damaging soybean pest.
